Q: Why doesn't My State Monitor show power consumption and temperature?
A: Advanced sensor data like power draw and temperature requires the optional MSMHelper component. Please visit the
Helper download page, install MSMHelper, and restart My State Monitor.
Q: Is MSMHelper safe? Does it upload my data?
A: MSMHelper is completely safe. It runs locally on 127.0.0.1, communicates with the main app via token authentication, and never uploads any data. See our
Privacy Policy for details.
Q: Which macOS versions does My State Monitor support?
A: macOS 14.6 (Sonoma) and later, optimized for Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4/M5) chips.
Q: Why is some data not showing on my Intel Mac?
A: My State Monitor is optimized for Apple Silicon. Some sensors (e.g., chip temperature, power consumption) are only available on Apple Silicon Macs.
Q: How do I uninstall MSMHelper?
A: Simply drag /Applications/MSMHelper.app to the Trash. My State Monitor will automatically fall back to basic monitoring mode.
